I.  Work Experience

A.)  California College of the Arts

        1. Position: Studio Monitor

        2. Employment: 2012-Current

3. Description: First semester I monitored the welding studio in the graduate building to ensure the equipment was being used properly and all safety precautions were taken. I also served as an instructor for anyone who needed help or wanted to learn welding. Second semester I monitored the wood shop available to all first year students. This required a much more hands-on style of work in order to help many students, who have little to no shop experience, bring their ideas to life safely and efficiently. I am currently still employed at the First Year Studio once or twice a week during the school year.

    B.)  Industrial Sheet Metal

        1. Position: Quality Control/Shop Assistant

        2. Employment: 5 years

3. Description: I do anything around the shop that I can, from sweeping to fabricating and refining exported products. This job has taught me a lot about the myself and the working world around me. It has allowed me to exercise my responsibilities and creative abilities in designing and detailing products using various types of metal (mostly stainless steel), wood, and plexiglass. Safety, skill, and efficiency are three of the most important aspects of this job and it has allowed me to hone all of these important life tools among many others. ISM has also allowed me to interact with people in the industry and the business world which has prepared me for any future endeavors in a professional environment.

    C.)  U.S. Spiritleaders

        1. Position: Tech Assistant/Roadie

        2. Employment: 3 weeks during my 2011 Summer vacation

3. Description: During my 2011 Summer vacation, the assistant principal at my high school, Todd Amon, invited me to work at the U.S. Spiritleaders Summer Cheerleading Camp for it’s three week span as a tech and roadie. There, I worked closely with him as we set up sound systems, platforms, banners, and anything else that needed to be done to make the camp run smoothly. Making great money and great friends, working for the U.S. Spiritleaders was a wonderful experience.
