As someone who comfortably straddles the three-legged stool of an artist, designer, and craftsman, I take

great pleasure in turning over this seat to examine, more closely, its construction. It is there that I find

comforting reassurance in the mark from the hand of Craft, the ingenuity from the mind of Design, and the

heart and soul of Art. This trifecta thrives within all of my work, from a variety of metal and hardwood

furniture to fine lifestyle products meant to be passed down, and provides precision in my aim to rediscover

the essential emotional connector that has been lost somewhere along the production line of products today.

It is the keepsake mentality that I whole-heartedly hope to rekindle in the products we use everyday, for they

are the things that define us; the things that tell our story. Emotional value trumps all and only grows stronger

with time. Compassion fuels me towards a more meaningful and humanizing journey in the combined fields

of furniture making and industrial design where I will do away with the idea of planned obsolescence and,

instead, bring things to the world that people will want to hold onto.
